Dear BBIA Members,

March has been a month of advocacy, engagement, and exciting opportunities for BBIA! Our leadership and members have been hard at work ensuring that the voice of our industry is heard at every level—locally, statewide, and nationally.

Several members of our Executive Board recently traveled to Tallahassee for the FHBA Legislative Conference, meeting with policymakers to advocate for issues impacting our industry. Meanwhile, our Marketing Administrator traveled to Washington, D.C., for NAHB Orientation, strengthening BBIA’s connections on a national level.

Back home, we had another fantastic Lunch & Learn featuring Jayna Leach of Visit Panama City Beach, and we showed up in full force at the Panama City Commission meeting to discuss the proposed Transportation Impact Fee ordinance. We’re proud of our members for stepping up and advocating for policies that impact our industry and community.

We also had the honor of supporting Jimmy Patronis for Congress with a campaign contribution from NAHB BUILD-PAC. His continued leadership in supporting Florida’s building industry, small businesses, and economic growth makes him a strong advocate for our industry at the federal level.

This month also included a fantastic BBIA Board Retreat at House of Henry. It was an incredible opportunity for our Board to collaborate, strategize, and strengthen our vision for the future. A huge thank you to our dedicated Board, staff, and everyone who participated!

We have even more exciting events coming up, including the Joint BIA & BBIA Hard Hat Happy Hour, and we can’t wait to see you all there! Thank you for your ongoing support, engagement, and commitment to BBIA.

Let’s keep building together!

Beth Klein
Marketing Administrator
